Important CSEC Information
Guidance for Students and Parents regarding the CXC Syllabus:
- The SBA Factor: The School-Based Assessment accounts for 20% of the final grade. It requires students to complete a technical project using Spreadsheets, Databases, and Web Design.
- Computer Requirements: Access to a PC or Laptop with Microsoft Office (Full Version) at home is strongly recommended to ensure students can practice for practical exams.
- Logical Rigor: IT is a logic-based subject. Students must spend time outside of class practicing algorithm design to succeed in Paper 2.
